How it works
Develop basic ball control by mastering a consistent stationary dribble with both hands.

Your focus
Stationary dribbling builds the finger and wrist strength needed for all advanced ball-handling skills. Young players who can confidently dribble with both hands become more versatile attackers. This foundational skill prevents traveling and double-dribble violations.
Player stands in athletic stance with feet shoulder-width apart.
Dribble the ball hard with the right hand for 20 consecutive dribbles, keeping eyes up.
Switch to left hand for 20 consecutive dribbles, maintaining the same eye level.
Alternate hands every 10 dribbles for 2 minutes total.
Goal
You've got it when the ball comes back up to the same height every time, not too high, not skipping off the floor. Consistent contact, consistent control.
