How it works
Build elite competitive attitude under maximum pressure by running a simulated overtime scenario and debriefing players on their attitude response.

Your focus
Attitude is most tested when the stakes are highest and the outcome is uncertain , exactly the conditions of overtime. Practicing in simulated high-stakes scenarios allows players to experience pressure responses in a safe environment and consciously redirect attitude before habits form in games. Elite players are defined as much by their attitude under pressure as their skill.
Announce to the team that the next small-area game is sudden-death overtime, one goal wins.
Coach creates artificial pressure: count down loudly from 2 minutes, announce the score repeatedly.
Play the segment to conclusion.
Immediately after, coach pulls the team together for a 3-minute 'attitude audit', each player states one thing they did to help team attitude and one thing they would change.
Helpful cues
- Pressure reveals character, what did yours say today?
