How it works
Execute a practiced set-play sequence triggered entirely by player-to-player verbal communication with no coach involvement.

Your focus
Advanced teams use coded verbal triggers to execute set plays without tipping off opponents. Players calling their own set plays in practice develops game leadership and communication autonomy. Mastery of trigger communication is a mark of a high-functioning team.
Team practices a corner or free-hit set play with 5 players; each variation has a code word.
The player taking the free hit calls the code word; teammates immediately move to their assigned roles.
Execute the full play from communication to finish; coach observes without intervening.
Run each variation 3 times; evaluate whether communication was clear enough for 100% execution.
Helpful cues
- Code word loud enough for your team, not theirs
- Move on the word, not after it
- Confirm with eye contact AND voice
